The security cameras that were put in to keep an eye on my, at the time suicidal daughter!
Now I didn’t think anything of them. As they were there to just keep an eye on my kid while the wife and I were at work.
Only time they were actually ever checked was when they went off at times they shouldn’t have! Or if one of the exterior doors opened, etc….
Well since I’ve been single and living in this big house all alone. I have heard a female voice come over the speaker on the camera twice! Recently just this week.
So a while back we did a little fixing to the firmware and found that the camera on the left has 2 tunnels coming off the stream! 1 going to amazons servers. While the other going to a previously unknown ip!
While the other is constantly being pinged!
So with a little reworking of the latest firmware. We managed to execute some extra code Wich would turn on any and all “ future “ stream requests, @localhost camera and microphone!
we really didn’t get any true hits until recently! when I reworked the base station firmware and set them both up on the server!
That’s when the amount of vocal data we received was worth its weight in gold!
So now we can not only prove origin but we can prove intent!
