by I am so happy I broke down today and checked the lock on the oven door! Just randomly wanted to see if I could short out the switch or something so I could use the oven until the new stove arrives!
So glad I did cus that things been broken for a couple weeks now! I took the top off the stove went down to pull the wires and the motor on the switch was red hot! I mean scorchen hot!
Odd thing was all I had done was taken the top off the stove! Hadn’t fucked with anything yet! So if that would have stayed that way. I’m sure it would have eventually melted down or caught fire!
Why is that a big deal? Cus that motor is above the fire proof insulation and right under the wiring harness for the stove!
Now it probably would have just shorted out and popped the breaker! But ya never know…..
Any hoot, tally ho…..
FYI that replacement part is $160. Not worth the cost to replace!
