Wondering why I woke up refreshed and kinda in a good mood!
Ahhh, I got an extra hours sleep before…..
Here is what I can tell you about these motorcycle classes!
1- don’t wear your 3 million accident free miles jacket! Oddly, the instructors are kind of biased about truck drivers! Go figure!
The other big thing besides me on a really small bike! While wearing pants! Is they teach the exact opposite of what a truck driver has beaten into there heads from day 1!
They want you to scan the horizon but on turns they want you to take focus off the surrounding area and put all your focus on the exit of the curve!
ROFLMAO! By the time I hit the entrance of the curve. I’ve scanned the curve, curve exit and anything I could see in between long before! from what they said, that was bad! I should have been concentrating on the exit of the curve rather than the full picture!
I was also penalized for not being able to roll the throttle! Oddly that was something I noticed to! I mean unlike my bike with smooth throttle control. This loaner bike had not that! I proudly took out as many cones as possible!
Overall experience? Ehh, I would find a better school! Me, I knew I had a 50/50 shot of getting it on the first try!
Finally that Yamaha tw200 is more of a enduro. One guy actually told me I should have been balls up to the tank. Wich is how I ride my r7! Yet my r7 that position is comfortable. That wasn’t a comfortable position on that bike!
You win some ya loose some! Let’s just hope my 30 years of truck driving don’t cause me to fail my hazmat test, huh?
Jajajaja! Cus that’s next!
Overall it was fun! I would not use there class again! But hey, to each there own….
