not to sound too smart. I asked what does the average new guy make? She said well right now we’re working 55 to 60 hours a week but no guarantees we’re trying to bring that down to where everybody’s working 40 to 45 hours a week.
And then I ask OK but what is the average newbie driver make here? Because I make a solid six digits here and I don’t want to take too much of a pay cut to come work here.
Now I did the math before she even picked up her calculator and 55 to 60 hours a week including overtime is a decent week. But if they’re trying to drop all their drivers down to 40 hours a week, that’s not a decent week…..
I think about halfway through the interview she started to realize I’m like fuck you! But we’ll see……
Luckily, I got like four or five more fucking interviews to do!
